G2 Report doesn't build a complete view of every possible Entity Resolution outcome into a g2report.g2v file as used by the Quickview utility. Instead, it uses a parameter to take a sampling of each of the G2 match keys that have been observed. By default this is set to 1,000.
For example, if 1 million records were loaded into G2 and 10,000 of those records resolved together to form 5,000 entity pairs all hitting the same match key (same ID and same Name, for example) only the first 1,000 are output to the g2report.g2v file.
When viewing the G2 Report with the Quickview utility this can be seen in the drop down filter details:
Notice the numbers in the parenthesis, this indicates the number of times this match key was 'hit' during entity resolution processing. As above, the default value is 1,000 but you'll notice the top items shown are all slightly over 1,000. Due to the filtering process you may observe numbers slightly over the sampling parameter.
To reduce the number of samples collected and thus the size of the g2report.g2v file use the -l argument:
